Jack Pardue

Internationally acclaimed pastel and oil artist Jack Pardue will teach a five day Plein air workshop, November 2nd-6th,  Jack is the past president of the Maryland Pastel Society and gives workshops throughout the US and Italy.

Jack is a graduate of The Ringling School of Art and a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, as well as, past president of the Maryland Pastel Society. He is also a member of The Washington Society of Landscape Painters, the oldest active art organizations in the greater Washington metropolitan area. He has an extensive background in painting including plein air landscape, figurative, and portrait. Jack's studios are located in Alexandria, VA and the Outer Banks, NC.

Jack is a popular workshop instructor  who spreads his enthusiasm to others by teaching plein air workshops both nationally and internationally, most recently in Australia and Canada. He has written feature articles for both American Artist and The Pastel Journal.

Workshop participants will receive daily demonstrations by Jack and the class will visit a variety of locations-marshes, rustic buildings, boatyards, coastal landscapes and historic vistas.  Each day will end with a group critique of the students work, and evenings will offer opportunities to gather with other artists, dine and share the good times of the day.

A special kick-off lecture by Jack will be held on Sunday, November 1st, at the Historic Cotton Warehouse on Water Street in downtownCoombs House Inn Apalachicola.   All 5 days Nov .2-6 will be excitingly unique.
